TITLE:Senior Aircraftman in the Royal Air Force Regiment finds common ground with local children near Basrah Air Station, Iraq DATE:8th March 2005 LOCATION: Basra Air Station, Iraq PHOTOGRAPH BY CPL HEIDI COX RAF No. 2 RAF Force Protection (FP) Wing, from RAF Leeming in North Yorkshire, are currently based at Basra Air Station. No. 2 FP Wing, who are the first RAF unit to deploy in this way, includes a headquarters element as well as No. 34 Squadron RAF Regiment, No. 609 West Riding Squadron and No. 2503 Royal Auxiliary Air Force Squadron. The RAF personnel are members of the Multi-National Force helping with the regeneration of the region, located in the south-east of Iraq.
